My Journey with FCFA: Embracing New Horizons and Creative Triumphs

As an MA student at Queen Mary University of London and a content creator at First Corporate Finance Academia (FCFA), my journey has been nothing short of transformative. Coming from a background in Journalism, where I have had the privilege of being a published writer, I wanted to challenge myself and explore the world of technical writing. FCFA provided the perfect platform for this evolution.

My undergraduate experience in Journalism proved invaluable, as it equipped me with the research and storytelling skills necessary for the diverse range of content I created at FCFA. From digital marketing to technical writing, every task was a new learning experience that allowed me to dive deeper into research writing—an area I was eager to explore after years of working as a journalist. FCFA not only embraced my creativity but also guided me as I navigated the technicalities of finance, entrepreneurship, and visa pathways, making it the ideal place for me to start this new chapter in my writing career.

Being part of FCFA has been an enriching experience, and it has sharpened my skills, pushing me to grow in ways I never imagined. The journey was challenging, but immensely rewarding—one that I will carry with me as I continue to develop my career.

One of the highlights of my internship has been the enriching experience of researching under the guidance of FCFA’s exceptional leadership. The mentorship provided by the directors has been truly inspiring:

  • Expert Guidance: Each director brought their own expertise, offering invaluable insights and feedback that helped refine my skills and broaden my understanding of the industry.

  • Supportive Environment: FCFA  fosters a positive and calm working environment where every team member is encouraged to excel. The atmosphere here has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, making it easier for me to integrate and grow.

As a newcomer to the UK, I initially felt anxious about navigating a new professional landscape. However, the warm and accommodating nature of my colleagues eased my transition:

  • Easy Integration: My colleagues went above and beyond to make me feel at home, offering support and camaraderie that helped me settle in quickly.
  • Encouraging Atmosphere: Their positive and easygoing approach made the adjustment period smooth and enjoyable, turning my initial apprehensions into a motivating experience.

In reflecting on my time at FCFA, I can truly say that this internship has been a journey of self-discovery and professional growth. I feel like I am emerging as a new version of myself, enriched by the knowledge and experience gained from working with such a dynamic and forward-thinking team. FCFA has not only provided me with the tools to succeed but also inspired me to reach new heights in my career.
